My New Years Resolutions!

Well here they are, I finally have put my New Year Resolution down in writing.  I have been thinking them over and planning on how to attain them for a month now.  They seem real and reachable now that I see them in writing.

My New Year Resolution this year has several parts to it.

1. Working Towards A New Me!
     a) Lose weight
     b) Eat healthier
     c) Become a better person
     d) Money management
     e) Work on existing relationships
     f) Make new friends

How I plan to achieve these goals:

a) Lose weight- working out with a personal trainer and spending every day doing some kind of physical activity. Reach a reasonable weight goal.

b) Eat healthier-I have already met with a nutritionist and got set up on a computer program called New Leaf.  This program gives me grocery lists, planned out meals, and recipes.  It will help me how to learn how to eat.  It even teaches you how to eat fast food and still stay within your daily calories.

c) To become a better person-This is going to take some soul searching and reading some recommend self help books.

d) Money Management- I will be attending a Dave Ramsey class and actually use what I learn to pay off bills and save money.

e) Work on existing relationships- I am going to work on communication with my husband, spending more active time with my daughter, strengthen my current relationships with my current friends.

f) Make new friends- I will be making new friends this year.  I feel like I have only a couple really good friends and I believe that you can never have too many friends.

These changes I am making to myself are going to be life changes.  I am 35 years old and I am very ready to find my place in this world, To Stand Tall and Feel Confident in Myself

  1. Fantastic, Missy!

Just remember, every day starts BRAND NEW. So, when you slip up, and you will, get up the next morning and recommit! Over and over and over again!

    I'm with ya!

  2. Exactly what Mindy said. Start with short or small goals so you dont end up overwhelmed. There are alot of exersizes your trainer can bring you through that wont hurt your knees...upper body, abs, hips, glutes even stretching. So cant use the knee for an excuse not to work out those areas. Just make sure to tell your trainer that you hare having knee issues. There are alot of rehab people in my classes that work around injuries. Don't let yourself make excuses not to go. Once you go for a bit you wont be sore and it will become a habbit. Make sure to work strength...more muscle = more calories burned. Get some good music to work out to it makes all the difference. Good luck Missy. I know how hard this seems but you will get there if you find a way to stay committed. Try putting up notes where you see them reguliarly reminding yourself why you want this and what your working for.
